First Media Enters Licensing Agreement With Microsoft

Nashville, TN — First Media Communications, Inc. today announced that it has entered into an online content licensing agreement with Microsoft to provide music and related audio content to Microsoft's Windows Media online entertainment portal.

 
Under the agreement, First Media will provide streamed audio content to Windows Media via its Radio Oasis(SM) music channel. A leading Internet-based music channel known for its unique blend of current hits, album tracks, and independent releases, Radio Oasis(SM) will continue to serve as a featured station in the Windows Media player.
 
The company first established a content licensing agreement with Windows Media in 2006. The new agreement expands the company's role as a licensed provider for Windows Media and provides extensive marketing and promotion of Radio Oasis(SM) to millions of listeners from the Windows Media audience.
